The End of Full Spectrum CBD: Why We’re Closing Let It Grow Hemp

A Personal Message From Our Family
After nearly a decade of building Let It Grow Hemp from the ground up, this is not a post we ever expected to write.
What started with a handful of plants and a belief in the healing power of cannabis turned into something much bigger than we ever imagined. With your support, we were able to help thousands of families, donate to meaningful causes, and build a business rooted in integrity.
But today, we want to explain why we’ve made the difficult decision to step away.

The Foundation: The 2018 Farm Bill
Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 — better known as the 2018 Farm Bill — changed everything.
For the first time, hemp was federally legalized as long as it contained less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC. This opened the door for:
CBD products nationwide
Small family farms like ours to compete
Innovation in cannabinoids like CBN, CBG, and more
This law is the entire reason companies like ours could exist.
What’s Changing Now
As a result, new legislation tied to the upcoming 2025–2026 Farm Bill cycle has already begun reshaping the industry.
In November 2025, Congress passed a federal law that fundamentally redefines hemp — and it goes into effect on November 12, 2026.
This law introduces several major changes:
A shift from Delta-9 THC limits to “total THC” (including THCA and all variants)
A crackdown on synthetic and intoxicating cannabinoids
And most importantly:
👉 A strict limit of approximately 0.4mg of total THC per finished product (per container)
What This Means in Plain English
This single change has massive consequences.
Most full spectrum CBD products currently contain multiple milligrams of THC per container
The new federal limit is less than half of one milligram total
👉 This effectively eliminates the ability to sell full spectrum products at scale
Even products that are non-intoxicating and used daily for wellness would no longer meet the legal definition of hemp.
Industry experts estimate that 90–95% of current hemp-derived products will become non-compliant under this new framework.
The Bottom Line
👉 Full spectrum CBD — as it exists today — is being phased out at the federal level.
The new THC limits make it impossible to produce or sell traditional full spectrum formulations legally.
The Shift Toward Medical-Only Access
At the same time, there is a broader federal movement toward rescheduling cannabis under Controlled Substances Act.
If finalized, this shift would:
Move cannabis from Schedule I to Schedule III
Place it under tighter FDA-style oversight
Transition many products into doctor-recommended or prescription-based models
What that means for consumers:
Over-the-counter CBD access may become limited
Products could require medical approval
Availability may shift toward pharmacies instead of direct-to-consumer brands
Why We Made This Decision
Why We’re Stepping Away
This decision wasn’t made overnight.
We’ve spent the last year watching the industry shift, reading the legislation, and asking a hard question:
Can we continue doing this the right way under the new rules?
And the honest answer is — no.
The new federal limits don’t just make things more difficult…they make the kind of products we built our reputation on no longer viable.
We built Let It Grow Hemp around true full spectrum formulations — products that actually work because they contain the full range of cannabinoids, including trace THC.
Under the new framework, those products simply won’t exist in the same way.
We’re not willing to dilute them.
We’re not willing to turn them into something they’re not.
And we’re not willing to sell products we don’t fully believe in.
So rather than compromise what we built…
👉 We’ve chosen to step away with integrity.
What This Means for You
For now, our remaining inventory is still available.
Many of our customers are choosing to stock up while they still can — especially on products they rely on daily.
Once certain products are gone, they will not be restocked.
Our Commitment Until the End
Until our final day, our promise remains the same:
The strongest formulations we can responsibly offer
The highest quality ingredients
Honest communication, always
This community has meant everything to us.
Thank You
From our family to yours — thank you.
For trusting us.
For supporting us.
For being part of this journey.
We are incredibly proud of what we built together.

Stunning Jason yet the best to you and your family going forward. Your product finally allowed this tired 'ol Vietnam vet to get a goodnight's sleep after decades of struggling with that. What really chaps me, yet I don't know it for fact but this just seems like another Big Pharm attack on small non-prescription medications. What's next? Aspirin? Tylenol? Thank you again for a wonderful product.
