  • Full Spectrum VS Broad Spectrum Hemp Extract

Full spectrum CBD Oil is a whole plant extraction of the hemp flower that includes the full spectrum of all of the beneficial compounds. Full Spectrum CBD Oil includes CBD, THC and the minor cannabinoids such as CBG, CBN and CBC and more, along with the beneficial terpene and flavonoid profile that is naturally occurring in the plant.

Broad Spectrum CBD Oil is a Full Spectrum Hemp Extract that has removed the cannabinoid THC and is therefore considered THC Free CBD Oil. All of the other beneficial compounds still remain present in Broad Spectrum CBD Oil and it is a perfect choice for those that prefer THC Free CBD products.

  • WHAT IS CBD?

CBD (cannabidiol) is one of the beneficial compounds called phytocannabinoids (plant based cannabinoids) of the 100+ cannabinoids found in the hemp variety of the cannabis sativa plant. CBD is a non-intoxicating cannabinoid that is one of the most researched cannabinoids. The other most researched cannabinoid is THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol), which is psychoactive in concentrations over .3%. Hemp is high in CBD concentration and federally regulated to contain less than .3% THC concentration.

  • What are Terpenes?

Terpenes are aromatic compounds found in all plants, herbs and flowers. They are responsible for the distinctive scent, flavor and taste of the plant. Terpenes are the basic constituent of essential oils. Hemp has more than 100+ identified terpenes and they play a major role through their synergistic interaction with cannabinoids, especially CBD and THC, in providing the therapeutic benefits of the plant. In the hemp plant terpenes are secreted from the same glands as the cannabinoids. Full Spectrum Hemp Extract CBD Oil has a terpene profile that contributes to the benefits and effects of hemp extract for relief, release and renewal.

  • How does CBD work in the body?

CBD interacts with the vast biological regulating system known as the Endocannabinoid System (ECS) that stretches throughout the body in the brain, organs, muscles, tissues, skeletal system and immune system. The ECS regulates fundamental bodily processes and functions such as mood, sleep, appetite, pain response, memory, cognitive function, reproduction and more.

The overarching goal of the ECS is to maintain homeostasis (balance/equilibrium) in the body’s biological functions through signaling when the body is undergoing environmental or internal disturbance or attack. CBD interacts both directly and indirectly with the ECS and other systems to support these fundamental processes, although the exact mechanism of how CBD interacts has not yet been conclusively established.

However, extensive research has shown the therapeutic value of CBD for pain response, stress release and balancing mood, along with support for other vital bodily functions.
